Questions painters ask

How do I use the tin? Wet a brush (a water brush is easiest), stroke it across the graphite and paint with it like watercolor. More water gives lighter grays.

Is it permanent once dry? No. It stays water-soluble, so you can rewet and soften it later. Don't paint watercolor over it unless you want it to blend.

Which one should I start with? The 20 g tin with a water brush is the quickest way to do value studies in the field.
