Handmade Watercolor Journal by Paint the Sunrise
Handmade in small batches in San Diego. Ships in 2–3 weeks.
A 6×9 in, 126-page watercolor journal made with 300gsm (140 lb) watercolor paper, heavy enough for washes, layering and lifting without buckling. Each book is hand-bound with a fabric cover and lies flat, so you can paint across the page on location. It's the same journal that comes in the PleinScout field kits.
The cover design is being finalized now. It'll be in PleinScout colors with our sun-and-river logo. The photo shows Nicolette's sample fabric covers and will be updated once the first books are done.
Made by Nicolette Wellington of Paint the Sunrise. Nicolette is a San Diego artist who hand-binds every journal herself. We're proud to have her work in the PleinScout shop. Follow her on Instagram: @paintthesunrise.
