Questions painters ask
Why 4B for value sketches? It's soft enough to get a strong dark fast, so you can map light and shadow in a minute or two.
Will it show through watercolor? Soft graphite can. Draw lightly under washes, or lift extra graphite with a kneaded eraser first.
